Vietnam National Admistration
of Tourism (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on
September 14 organized talk themed “Developing tourist products in the
South Central Coast”.
Before the event, the National
Administration of Tourism organized a famtrip group to survey tourist
destinations in three provinces Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa
with the participation of about 50 travel companies nationwide. During a
week, the group came to many tourist destinations, including Truong Duc
Thanh – Poshany ancient temple, Mui Ne – Hon Rom, Sea Link City, Bau
Trang, Co Thach beach, Bay Mau stone beach, Hang pagoda (Binh Thuan
Province), My Nghiep brocade making village, Mui Dinh, Tanyoli tourist
site, Ba Moi grape garden, Po Klong GiaRai temple, Vinh Hy bay, Nui Chua
national park, Rai cage (Ninh Thuan Province), islands Binh Hung, Binh
Ba and Binh Lap, Kenh Ha pond, C235 no number ship monument, and Doc Let
beach (Khanh Hoa Province).

Pham Le Thao, Deputy Head of Travel
Department (of the National Administration of Tourism) considered,
“Provinces Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan have a lot of beautiful
landscapes of the country, which are very attractive to local and
foreign tourists, and may connect with each others. The survey aims to
exploit advantages in locations as well as potentials, step up
connection, develop quality tourist products, and increase their
competition.”
At the talk, representatives of travel
companies highly appreciated tourism potentials of Khanh Hoa Province,
Ninh Thuan Province and Binh Thuan Province. The three provinces have a
lot of beautiful beaches, specific historical cultural monuments
(especially Cham culture), folk festivals and traditional trade
villages.
Representatives of travel companies
suggested tourism departments attending to improving quality of tourist
products and services. At present, tourism of the provinces have no deep
connection. “The three provinces need to connect more closely in
building tours, marketing for tourism and setting up more good rest
stops for travelers”, said Tran Thao, manager of tourist products of
Vietravel (Ho Chi Minh City).
Representatives of travel companies
also had a lot of ideas of building and developing tourist products in
Khanh Hoa Province. Le Hoa Hiep, director of Hi Travel Co., Ltd.
expected the three provinces to have various tourist products and
upgrade existing tourist products.
At the conclusion, Pham Le Thao,
Deputy Head of Travel Department (of the National Administration of
Tourism) suggested the tourism of three provinces Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan
and Binh Thuan need to manage destinations better to bring satisfaction
for tourists, ensure stable development of tourism. The three provinces
also need increase connection, and step up tourism of Ninh Thuan to
reduce pressure for Nha Trang and Phan Thiet.
