Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism is promoting tourism in some foreign markets. Japan is one of these markets.
According to statistics of the
provincial Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa Province received 18,598
Japanese tourists in 2015; the figure in 2016 was 14,257; and that in
2017 was 12,145. Now, Japanese tourists rank the fourth in tourists from
Asian countries, following China, Korea and Malaysia.
According to Nguyen Van Thanh -
Standing Vice-chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, one
of main reasons for the decrease in the number of Japanese visitors to
Khanh Hoa Province is no direct flight between the province and Japan.
At the event Meet Japan 2017,
Takahashi Ayumi, director of the Japan National Tourism Organization
said that Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa had good conditions in nature as well as
facilities to satisfy demands of Japanese tourists. However, it’s
necessary to have direct air routes from Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa to cities
of Japan to attract Japanese tourists. Then, travel companies in Japan
would be easy to set up and sell Nha Trang tours to Japanese people.

meeting with the provincial authority, representative of Apex

tourists to Vietnam by 20,000 – 30,000 to 100,000/year, and Nha Trang –
